THE WHAT? LVMH has announced that the Managing Director of its Fashion Group, Pierre Emmanuel Angeloglou, will take on additional responsibilities as CEO of Fendi. Incumbent Serge Brunschwig is set to take on a new role, which will be announced in due course.
THE DETAILS According to a report published by Business of Fashion, Angeloglou joined the French luxury conglomerate in 2019 after some 20 years at L’Oreal.
THE WHY? Business of Fashion reports that the move is part of a wider reshuffle of LVMH’s management. With Fendi poised to launch a fine fragrance collection, it’s also unlikely to be a coincidence that the former L’Oreal executive has been chosen to lead the brand’s re-entry into the beauty category.
