Andrew Fitzsimons acquires his hair care brand from Maesa

THE WHAT? Celebrity hairstylist Andrew Fitzsimons has announced that he has purchased his eponymous hair care brand from incubator, Maesa. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

THE DETAILS According to a report published by WWD, the brand is thought to have achieved sales of US$20 million in the 12 months after launch and turnover is expected to double over the next year thanks to international expansion.

The brand’s HQ will be located in Fitzsimons’ homeland, Ireland and Caroline Dalton has been named as CEO.

THE WHY? Fitzsimons told WWD, “Over the past few months, I have been in discussions with my partners at Maesa regarding the future of the Andrew Fitzsimons brand. We have reached a mutually beneficial agreement while continuing to deliver on our promise to our loyal customers.”
