THE WHAT? Primark has announced that it will expand its Click + Collect service to all stores in Great Britain by the end of 2025 following a successful 18-month trial. The retailer will begin to roll out Click + Collect across all 184 stores in England, Scotland and Wales later this year.
THE DETAILS Primark will also add new categories and products to its Click + Collect offer, including men’s and selected home and lifestyle products and ranges.
THE WHY? Primark’s adjusted operating profit rose 46 percent to £508 million in the 24 weeks to March 2, 2024, according to a report published by Retail Week, so its hardly surprising that the budget retailer has been persuaded of the value of its new online-to-offline service.
Paul Marchant, Chief Executive at Primark, comments, “Our trial of Click + Collect over the last 18 months has been about understanding how we can offer our customers greater convenience to shop with us wherever they are, but in a way that complements our business and our stores. We’re now confident that we’ve found a model that can do both and support us with our plans to grow the business.”
