Unilever names Global VP of technology

THE WHAT? Unilever has promoted Alessandro Ventura to Global Vice President of Technology Transformation, according to a report published by CIO Dive.

THE DETAILS Ventura will be relocating to London from the US, where he currently holds the role of Unilever North Americas CIO and VP of Analytics and Business. He will be succeeded by Eric Chen who currently heads up the Data and Analytics, IT and Workplace and Business Solutions team in Southeast Asia.

THE WHY? The move follows Unilever’s announcement in May that Conny Braams, Chief Digital and Commercial Officer is due to leave the manufacturer of Dove in August. Ventura brings some 20 years of experience to the role, having joined the UK FMCG maker in 2003.
