Chanel pops up in Edinburgh

THE WHAT? Chanel has opened a pop-up boutique in Edinburgh for the summer months, according to a report published by Wallpaper. The three-storey townhouse will house the luxury French fashion brand’s watch, jewelry, fragrance and beauty ranges as well as its Metier d’art 2023 collection in style.

THE DETAILS The 5,000 sq ft neoclassical building is kitted out to feel like a ‘charming temporary home’ with antiques, art and flowers throughout. The boutique, which opened its doors last week, will be stationed in the Scottish city’s Charlotte Square through August 5.

THE WHY? Chanel’s links to Scotland can be traced back to Gabrielle Chanel’s day, Wallpaper says, and presumably the boutique is designed to attract the attention of residents and visitors to the Scottish city in peak tourism season.
