Nu Skin joins EcoBeauty Score Consortium

THE WHAT? Nu Skin has announced that it has joined the EcoBeautyScore Consortium, in order to help craft an industry-wide environmental impact assessment and scoring system for beauty products.  

THE DETAILS The Consortium is made up of more than 40 companies, including multinationals such as Colgate-Palmolive and The Estee Lauder Companies, and is working with Quantis to help ensure a robust and scientific approach.

THE WHY? Ruth Todd, Senior Vice President and Chief Reputation Officer at Nu Skin, explains, “An increasing number of shoppers are basing their purchasing decisions on the environmental impact of products. It’s time to provide customers with even more clarity and transparency into the environmental impact of their beauty products. We look forward to partnering with other industry leaders and developing a globally recognized system that allows consumers to make informed decisions.”
