US-based silicon manufacturer Dow Corning has revealed that it will be showcasing two new silicon-based cosmetics ingredients at trade event in-cosmetics 2015.

The new innovations due to be showcased at the trade show, which is taking place in Barcelona from April 14-16, include a silicone fluid for hair care which makers claim combines superior frizz control, stylability and a natural feel, as well as a breakthrough polymer with an enhanced sensory experience and unique rheology for skin care and cosmetic formulations.

 Both products will be on display at the show’s Innovation Zone. The new liquid silicone blend will be the topic of a Dow Corning Innovation Seminar on Tuesday, April 14.  

 Dow Corning will also debut three new formulation kits, including one that highlights concepts from the third edition of its renowned Trends Lab for skin and hair care. The second kit will provide hair care formulations offering a range of textures, while a third kit will focus on lifting and firming formulations for the face and neck care.
