THE WHAT? Sephora has named Xia Ding as Managing Director of its Greater China unit. Ding will lead the LVMH-owned retailer’s business in Mainland China and Hong Kong, which spans some 350 stores, two e-commerce websites and associated digital platforms and apps.

THE DETAILS Ding joins from Nike where she has held the role of Vice President & General Manager of e-commerce Asia Pacific and Latin America for the past five years. She is based in Shanghai and reports directly to Asia President, Alia Gogi.

THE WHY? Gogi comments, “Xia Ding is a quintessential leader with a wealth of experience in running businesses, digital transformations, and strategic business development.
