THE WHAT? The Ayurveda Company (TAC), has revealed that it is planning to hit a milestone number of points of sale in the general trade market in tier 2 and 3 towns by Diwali 2024. The Indian personal care company is targeting 50,000 touchpoints.
THE DETAILS The company plans to make its pan-Indian launch of new line, TAC Bharat, accessible to areas underserved by online retail, according to a report published by the Economic Times. Mukund Raut has been appointed Head of Marketing to facilitate this goal.
THE WHY? Founder Param Bhargava, told the Economic Times, “The name TAC Bharat embodies our commitment to growth and new opportunities in India’s rising towns, mirroring the dreams of its young people. The product designs are aligned with our distribution model, ensuring success in these markets. This channel will enable us to achieve profitability by FY 2025.”
