THE WHAT? Yakult’s Utsunomiya-based distributor has opened a café, beauty salon and gallery space in Japan’s Tochigi prefecture. It is said to be the first of its kind.
THE DETAILS The space will serve as a service centre for deliveries as well as raise brand awareness via the on-site wellness complex, according to a report published by Mainichi. The company is said to be planning a second branch.
THE WHY? President of Utsunomiya Yakult, Keizo Shibata, told Mainichi, “We hope that people who don’t know about Yakult come visit and see themselves in various ways enjoying Yakult products including meals and beauty services.
