THE WHAT? Natura &Co is rumored to be weighing the possibility of offloading its Avon International unit. The Brazilian beauty giant, which has already sold Aesop to L’Oreal and struck a deal for The Body Shop in the last year, is said to be keen to focus on its home market.  

THE DETAILS According to a report published by the Financial Times, quoting sources ‘familiar with the matter’, Natura &Co is mulling retaining the direct sales brand’s Latin American business, while selling or spinning off the remainder.THE WHY? Natura &Co declined to comment when contacted by the Financial Times but it is possible that, after a tricky couple of years that has seen share prices drop in the face of disappointing financial results, the Brazilian behemoth is regretting its 2017 to 2019 shopping spree.
