Revlon has extended its distribution agreement with travel retail specialists Scorpio Worldwide, who will now manage the sale of its products in airports, duty-free shops and airlines across the Middle East.
Revlon has partnered with the UK-based firm since 2012 to strengthen the distribution of the brand’s products in Europe and Africa.
The new contract includes sales management in the Middle East with companies such as Dubai Duty Free and Qatar Duty Free, as well as airlines within the region.
Stuart McGuire, Chairman of Scorpio Worldwide, “It has been an excellent sales story working with a leading brand like Revlon, which has tailored products to fit well to the inflight and travel retail programmes. The 9-in-1 Lipstick ‘Cube’ has proved particularly successful, and we have secured listings on many new airlines, including Korean Air and British Airways. We are delighted to have further extended our business with Revlon to include the Middle East on an agency basis.”
David Carvalho, Revlon’s Senior Vice President and General Manager of Global Distributors, Licensees and Travel Retail, added, “We are very happy to have extended this relationship with Scorpio, with whom we have enjoyed good success over the last several years.
“Together we are focusing on a large growth plan. It is a very positive moment for the Revlon business, as we have just launched a new positioning platform, ‘Revlon Love Is On’, which is very strong and very important to our future, and there is more to come. Revlon is a global leader in colour cosmetics, and the travel retail business is a crucial part of this. We believe that with our expertise and Scorpio’s understanding of the market, we will build this partnership ever stronger.”
