THE WHAT? Saudi Arabia’s Food and Drug Authority has seized from 365,000 unregistered cosmetics and food items from a facility in Qatif after tracing an unlicensed product sold online to a residential property.
THE DETAILS According to a report published by Arab News, the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution and the facility has been shut down.
THE WHY? Under Article 34 of the Cosmetics Products Law, manufacturers and distributors of illegal goods face fines up to SR5 million or up to five years in prison.
