THE WHAT? L’Oréal Indonesia has appointed Junaid Murtaza as new President Director, succeeding Umesh Phadke, according to Marketing Interative. 

THE DETAILS Phadke has recently been appointed as Chief Transformation Officer at L’Oréal SAPMENA-SSA, with Murtaza reporting directly to him. 

Murtaza previously served as Country Managing Director and CEO of L’Oréal Pakistan, as well as holding the role of General Manager of the consumer products division.  

THE WHY? The appointment follows a slew of notable hires for L’Oréal, with the beauty company appointing a new Chief Digital Officer, consumer products division, for the South Asia Pacific, Middle East and North Africa (SAPMENA) region, as well as a Chief Digital and Marketing Officer, Media Director, North Asia.
