THE DETAILS WWD reports that the LVMH-owned retailer and German e-commerce platform came to the conclusion that their full potential would be better realized outside of the current partnership after evaluating the pilots in Germany and Italy.
THE WHY? A spokesperson for Sephora told WWD, “We have made the decision to refocus our efforts and resources on our core business and own channels.” Meanwhile Zalando issued a statement revealing that it would ‘focus on direct partnerships with beauty brands in Germany and Italy’.
