THE WHAT? Walgreens Boots Alliance is poised to sell some two-thirds of its Deerfield HQ, according to a report published by The Real Deal.

THE DETAILS Campus workers will be located at 100 Wilmot Road, while the office space at 200 and 300 Wilmot Road will be sold. The sale price and size of the space being sold has not been disclosed.

THE WHY? The sale is part of a wider cost-cutting exercise, The Real Deal reports, as a result of remote working, the pharmacy giant has less need for office space. A spokesperson told the publication in a statement, “We recognize the way we work has changed and with our hybrid model valued by our team members, we have underutilized psace on our Deerfield Campus. To reimaging the space to fit our current needs and create efficiencies that allow us to invest in the business, we have made the decision to sell several buildings that are part of our support office.”
