Colgate-Palmolive opens applications for annual Haz La U scholarship

THE WHAT? Colgate-Palmolive has opened applications for its annual Haz la U (Make The U) educational grant program for the 2021-2022 academic year, created in partnership with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF).

THE DETAILS The personal care giant will give 100 educational grants, worth $1,000 each, which are awarded to U.S. students that have demonstrated ‘academic excellence, volunteerism and leadership within their communities.’

Dana Medema, General Manager of North America Oral Care at Colgate-Palmolive, said, “Today more than ever, Colgate continues its commitment to provide financial support to Latinx families through our Haz la U™ educational grant program.
“We praise the young leaders who celebrate what it means to be Latinx and are giving back to their communities during these difficult times, because we believe everyone deserves a future they can smile about.”

Colgate-Palmolive is promoting the initiative alongside its partners Cardenas, El Super,  Northgate, Superior, Vallarta, C&S Wholesale Grocers, Kroger Food 4 Less, FoodMaxx, Rancho San Miguel, Fiesta Market, Food Town, Seller Bros, Foodarama, Food City, Publix, and ShopRite.    

THE WHY? The Haz la U program has been in action for 10 years, working to provide the Latinx community with higher education opportunities.

These scholarships will help 100 young leaders continue on their track to making an impact on our community and America.”
