About Outdoor Cushions

Improve your Outdoor furniture with Cushions from Pier1.com. We offer high quality materials, beautiful design and multiple colors. If you have a patio, deck or other area in your home where you want to relax and enjoy the outdoors, outdoor cushions are a great way to add some extra comfort. There are several different types of outdoor cushions available from Sunbrella, Outdoor cushion chair, outdoor bench cushion, dining cushion, Sofa and Loveseat cushion, Water Resistant Outdoor Cushions, UV Resistant Outdoor Cushions. Rubber Coating and Weather Resistant Outdoor Cushions.

Sunbrella Outdoor Cushions are made of 100% solution-dyed acrylic, which means they fade resistant and mildew resistant. They’re also water resistant and weather resistant. Sunbrella outdoor cushions can be wiped clean with a damp cloth, or you can wash them in the machine (cold water).  Sunbrella outdoor cushions with enhanced qualities can make a smart-looking patio or porch that’s comfortable.

  • Water Resistant Outdoor Cushions- Pier1 outdoor cushions are made to withstand rain and moisture. Made from synthetic fabrics, which makes them higher quality than other types of outdoor cushions. However, Water resistant outdoor cushions can escalate your outdoor furniture drastically.
  • Weather Resistant Outdoor Cushions- If you want your outdoor furniture to be weather resistant, it's important that the material used for your cushions is especially resistant to water or sun-scorched heat. Some outdoor cushions are made with a water resistant fabric and others use an UV resistant fabric. Others may have both materials in them, which means if you get caught by rain or need protection from the sun, these types of cushions will keep things dry and comfortable despite how much time they spend outdoors in wet weather.

This makes sense: if your furniture absorbs moisture from the ground while it sits there unattended, then any moisture inside those cushions could ruin their quality over time (and possibly cause mold growth). So instead of worrying about spills and dirt on your patio furniture taking its toll on fabrics such as cotton twill—which might not hold up well under constant exposure—investing in something like polyester blended with nylon sunbrella cushions gives you peace of mind knowing that even if there happens to be some rain falling outside during dinner parties with friends tomorrow evening you’re all ready for it.

  • UV Resistant Outdoor Cushions- UV resistant cushions are designed to protect your furniture from the sun’s harmful UV rays. They are made with a fabric that has been coated with a UV protective finish and can last up to 5 years. These cushions are great for areas that receive a lot of sun, such as patios and decks, but they aren't recommended for use on furniture because they can fade over time.
  • Mildew Resistant Outdoor Cushions- The most common type of outdoor cushion is resistant to mildew, mold and fungus. These fabrics are made with a polyester fabric that has special antibacterial properties that help prevent the growth of these harmful organisms. The result is a durable material that will stay looking new for years to come!

The best way to tell if your outdoor cushions are mildew resistant? Look at them closely under bright light. If you see any dark spots or discolorations on their surface, then you know they can't stand up against mold and fungus (or whatever else may be lurking in your yard).

There are several types of outdoor cushions.

The first type is a traditional throw cushion, which is often made from fabric or leather and can be filled with down or synthetic feathers. These cushions are soft, comfortable and easy to clean up when you need them cleaned up. They also come in many different shapes and sizes so you can find the right one for your space!

The second type is an inflatable pad, which has air chambers inside it that make it very durable while still being comfortable enough to sit on top of grass or dirt in order to enjoy the outdoors comfortably without any worries about getting dirty because there's no carpet underneath this item either! If you're looking for something more durable than just sitting on top but not quite as thick as other options around town then this might be perfect for keeping yourself warm during cold days out there today too; just remember though: if using inflatable pads indoors then we recommend using caution since they tend not gel well with water based liquids like soda bottles etcetera (we've had experience ourselves).

We hope this guide has helped you find the right outdoor cushion for your needs. It’s important to consider what type of weather you live in, how many people will be using the cushions and whether they need something waterproof or UV resistant. With so many options out there, it can be hard to choose one that suits all of these factors but also looks great!
