Amorepacific Overhauls Leadership of Key Overseas Subsidiaries

THE WHAT?  Amorepacific has undertaken a significant leadership overhaul by simultaneously replacing the CEOs of its key regional subsidiaries in China, North America (United States and Canada), and Japan. This restructuring effort aligns with the company’s strategic goal of global rebalancing.

THE DETAILS  The personnel changes were announced on the 31st, with Park Tae-ho, former head of the business planning division, appointed as the new head of the China business. Park, who joined Amorepacific in 2000, is recognized for his deep understanding of the cosmetics industry and organizational management skills. Giovanni Valentini, with experience at Unilever and L’Oreal, has been named CEO of the North America subsidiary. Valentini is known for successfully leading multiple brands in Europe and the United States. In Japan, Na Jeong-gyun, the former North America RHQ CEO, has taken over the leadership role. Na, who joined Amorepacific in 1998, has previously served as the ASEAN CEO.

THE WHY?  The restructuring aims to address the challenges faced in the Chinese market and bolster growth in North America and Japan. The new CEO appointments are expected to bring fresh perspectives and strategic leadership to enhance Amorepacific’s international operations. With this global rebalancing effort, Amorepacific is poised to strengthen its position in key overseas markets and improve overall profitability.
